Lieutenant Marcel Georges Florent FOX

Fox was born 22 March 1910 in Lisbon, Portugal, the son of Ernest Georges
Jacques Fox and Maria Eugénie Florentin Fox (née Maris). He had an older brother René and took the nationality
of his parents who, despite their English surname, were both French.
The Fox family were resident in Portugal for the birth of both sons (and the tragic deaths in infancy of four daughters) as Ernest Fox was a high-ranking official of the French bank Crédit Lyonnais, responsible for inspecting overseas branches and spent time in both Porto and Lisbon. Marcel went to school in Lisbon until the age of 12, but was rebellious and unsettled there. In 1920 he therefore transferred to a Catholic boarding school in Paris, the Lycée Michelet, in the Vanves district of the city........[Remainder of case study is complete - contact author for further details].
