Lieutenant John Trevor HAMILTON
John Hamilton was born 21 May 1907 in Swansea. Little is known of his childhood or education, but by the time of the Second World War he was a wealthy and successful shipbroker. He had worked for many years in Paris and also in Marseilles, and had married a Frenchwoman, Léone Madeleine Louise Kautzmann, from Le Havre. Hamilton was still in France when war broke out, together with his wife and a first son, Patrick, born in 1936 at Boulogne-Billancourt (92).
